I am a very organized and get-it-done kind of person. Yet, I kept putting off the task of creating a comprehensive guide for dealing with all my accounts and obligations when I am gone (or incapacitated). I have finally completed the task, but it took longer and proved more complicated than I had anticipated. The sheer volume of information was greater than expected - web links, login credentials, contact information, etc. And, new categories of information kept cropping up. (For example, I realized that I needed to include details for GoodEnding - web hosting, domain registration, statutory representation, bank account, etc.)

I encourage everyone to get their financial and data life in order in 2019. To assist you, the “All in Good Order” page of GoodEnding.org now includes a link to a template Excel spreadsheet for organizing your information. Take your time as you will undoubtedly think of things to include that I have left off. Also, be sure to password protect your file (File menu => Passwords). You can then store your file somewhere in the cloud and share access with one or more trusted family members or friends. A good way to start the year and facilitate a GoodEnding.
